横见浩彦自幼已爱火车成痴的他，足迹踏遍了全日本所有九千八百多个火车站，甚至为此未能赶及见老父临终前的最后一面。因为横见对火车的迷恋，使他最终成为了漫画主角。连他自己也声称：“我已把人生抛到了铁道上！”这样的铁道宅男比起只埋首电脑、深居简出的 “御宅族”，显然来得身体力行得多。 故事就是从两位主人公菊池直惠和横见浩彦的视角出发，由他们的旅途中所遇到的点点滴滴为故事背景，两人在成长的同时，不停的传达给观众各种各样关于铁路的知识。。A story tells about five students and their professor from Kyiv archaelogical Institute.
