Through it all, friendship is the cornerstone for surviving this time of life – whether one’s puberty...。叶沐渝为爱隐瞒身份成家庭主妇，受尽委屈。恢复身份后，在同学会及老宅过节时遭遇刁难，她凭借自身实力化解危机。又在女儿同学生日会上被羞辱，最终成功反击，让家人免受欺负，扬眉吐气。。德川幕府时期，刽子手拜一刀（田村正和饰）深得主公信任，然以柳生备前（橋爪功饰）为首的柳生一族觊觎大权，因此视武功高强的水欧派剑客拜一刀如大敌。在正式比武前夕，备前设计陷害拜一刀，并杀害了他的妻子蓟（古手川祐子饰），致令拜一刀挥刀而起，斩杀前来拘捕他的官差。在此之后，他与有着“暗里柳生”之称的柳生烈堂（仲代达矢饰）相约决斗，最终取胜，于是获准带着儿子大五郎离开江户。从此，拜一刀化身为独行江湖的赏金杀手，与宿敌柳生一族结下难以化解的仇恨…… 本片根据小池一夫和小島剛夕的原作漫画改编，并荣获1994年日本电影学院奖最佳男配角奖（田中邦衛）。。
