在巴格达城中卖水的青年阿拉丁（青島幸男 音）迷上了美丽的女奴隶米丽安（岸田今日子 音），可是身无分文、无权无势的他根本不是治安官之子哈瓦拉昆的竞争对手。幸亏一场突如其来的龙卷风，阿拉丁趁乱带走米丽安，并与其度过激情一夜。好景不长，觊觎王位的巴多利（芥川比呂志 音）指示四十大盗捉住阿拉丁，并将其投入监狱；米丽安则被送到哈瓦拉困的府中，伤心的米丽安生下孩子后郁郁而终。借助看守长的帮助，阿拉丁成功越狱。在得知爱人死去的消息后，他开始追踪仇人巴多利，也由此开始了一段充满惊险和刺激的奇幻之旅……
