Nora诞下一对龙凤胎，然而David一眼便看出女儿患有唐氏症，想起自己12岁的妹妹便是死于唐氏症的折磨下，而且家母终身未能再展露笑容。为了避免悲剧的发生，David当机立断让Gil把小女儿送走，只对Nora说女儿一出生便夭折了。
