八十年代的上海，公交车上售票员的服务态度引起广大市民的关注和议论。小青（陈以心饰）态度热情、尊老携幼，深得乘客称赞。而小黄（迟志强饰）正与之相反，借囗嗓子疼，站名也不报，乘客对他意见很大。而驾驶员小洪（张明明饰）则对交警小白（于延平）老让她吃红灯有一肚子怨言。饭店工作的小葛（王伟平饰）是个革新能手，他发明了报站扬声器及红绿灯自动显示装置。在改革发明中，小字辈们渐渐产生友谊，进而发展为爱情，不少人成双成对出入公园等娱乐场所，热衷发明的小葛不善于对爱慕着他的小青表达自己的感情，于是，他通过录音带传递自己无法说出口的话。小革新、小发明不仅增强了年青人热爱学习的兴趣，也让他们对未来的生活充满信心......。In the futuristic city of Vanille, with properly tuned ImmerSyst Eyes & Ears the world can look and sound like a paradise.
