以民谣和神话的风格来重现马克·夏加尔之谜。影片并不是为了创造一个夏加尔的形象，而是试图通过传说和故事来通过银屏来呈现他变化莫测的创造力。。以深圳经济特区30年历史为背景，以梁大华、洪月娥的经历为故事主体，讲述了钟点工的辛酸与感动。钟点工们立足深圳，通过钟点工这个城市特殊群体的经历，把深圳特区30年的宏大历史背景贯穿在老百姓的故事中，视角独特。剧中的主角梁大华是家政公司的钟点工，丈夫受了工伤、儿子成绩下滑，她和身边的钟点工姐妹一样，在生存逼迫下处于重重矛盾纷争中，并目睹了几个家庭的生活故事，善良的她们最终在城市中找到了自己的位置。。Set in Los Angeles in the early 2000s, Smoking Tigers is a portrait of a lonely Korean American teen named Hayoung who is taken under the wings of three wealthy students she meets at an elite academic boot camp.
