年过而立的家庭主妇永井小卷心情无比郁闷，丈夫范朋自诩为小说家，却眼高手低，好吃懒做，整天靠啃老度日。小卷一气之下，留下一纸离婚协议，带着年幼的女儿小乃回到了位于横滨的娘家。失去了生活来源，小卷开始为女儿的未来担忧，于是四处求职，然而连续碰壁。在此期间，她重逢了学生时代的好友玉川丽华以及初恋井口建夫，少年时代的青涩感情重新复萌。但是范朋反复纠缠，未来又如此迷茫，这些都令小卷烦恼不已……
